The International Mathematical Modeling Challenge in Australia
The IMMC is an opportunity for students to work together to solve a challenging real-world problem using their mathematical knowledge and skills.
The IMMC is an annual team event for mathematics students in Years 7-12. Australian schools have participated each year since 2016.
The modelling reports from teams in Australian schools are judged by a local panel, and national awards are decided. The two best team reports are sent on to the international judging panel.
Australian teams have been very successful, achieving international awards in most years, including in 2018, when a team from Radford College in Canberra won the international competition.
